Successful international coaching seminar celebrated in Istanbul

Istanbul, Turkey, February 8, 2010. The 1st International Clinic for Volleyball coaches organized under the authority of the Eurasia Volleyball Coaches Association was staged this past February 3-5 in Istanbul with great success and under the patronage of the MEF International Schools and Caan Sport.
A total of 82 certified coaches attended the clinic starring some international lecturers such as Turkey’s Nejat Sancak and Isik Menkuer along with Japanese Tatsuya Adachi and Italian Flavio Gulinelli. Two players – namely Gabriel Gardner and Scott Touzinsky - of the US team that bagged Olympic gold in Beijing were to be seen there as well.
Mr. Nejat Sancak, who serves as President of the Eurasia Volleyball Coaches Association (EVCA), said that the mission of this association is to rise up the level of Volleyball coaching in Turkey with a series of additional events and seminars slated throughout the year 2010.
Mr. Mehmet Cakmak, Vice President of the Turkish Volleyball Federation, officiated the closing ceremony of the clinic and expressed his happiness for the fruitful cooperation the Federation has been implementing with the EVCA.
