Welcome baby Niko Schürmann!
News from the CEV
Schaan, Liechtenstein, February 6, 2010. A baby boy named Niko Schürmann – weighing 4.2 kilos – happily joined yesterday evening the European Volleyball family. Niko is the first child of CEV Vice President Banu Can Schürmann and international referee Philippe Schürmann, the real mentor of Volleyball and Beach Volleyball in the tiny alpine microstate bordered by Switzerland and Austria. While “mum” Banu is doing well after the delivery, “daddy” Philippe can not hide his pride and excitement for the arrival of baby Niko who holds also a Turkish middle name, Can, to expressively recall that half of his roots are from there.CEV President André Meyer, his colleagues of the Board of Administration and all Commissions would like to express heartfelt good wishes to Banu and Philippe for many happy years together with Niko.
And a few words are to be addressed also to the sweet baby: welcome to the world, Niko, and be sure you’ll be always surrounded with real love coming from all members of the Volleyball family!
