DECISIVE MATCH BETWEEN PARIS VOLLEY AND COPRA VOLLEY PIACENZA

Men's Indesit European Champions' League 2004/05

Paris, France, November 25, 2004. PARIS Volley will meet Copra Volley PIACENZA the Italian team of Copra Volley PIACENZA in the next leg of the Indesit European Champions’ League 2004/05, this being a decisive match for the qualification play-off.

PARIS Volley is hoping for a third victory after defeating Knack ROESELARE from Belgium (3:2) and Lokomotiv KHARKIV from the Ukraine (3:0). The titleholder of 2001 could take second place behind the yet undefeated Dinamo MOSCOW, the big favorite of Pool D.
With an unfortunate tiebreak defeat against ROESELARE and another five set defeat against MOSCOW last Tuesday, PIACENZA is in an uncomfortable situation. The teams of Pool D are all very close with each one retaining chances to qualify for the play-offs.
The match is scheduled for Tuesday evening, 30 November at 20.30hrs in salle Charpy - stade Charlety. The two referees are Mr. Jarmo Salonen (1st referee from Finland) and Mr. Volker Schiemenz (2nd referee from Germany). The supervisor will be Mr. Siyami Akay from Turkey.
