CEV WELCOMES SWISS VOLLEY
Luxembourg, November 11, 2004. On Thursday 4 November 2004 the President and the General Secretary of Swiss Volley, the national Swiss volleyball federation, namely Mr. Christoph Stern and Mr. Roger Schnegg, paid a visit to the CEV head office in order to discuss future cooperation between the two concerns for the coming Beach Volleyball Season.During their first visit to the CEV headquarters in Luxembourg City Swiss Volley’s President Mr. Christoph Stern as well as the General Secretary Mr. Roger Schnegg were delighted to see the different departments as well as meeting the CEV employees. In presence of CEV President Mr. André Meyer, CEV Executive Director Mr. Olivier Mottier, CEV Beach Volleyball Coordinator Mr. Erik Schmidt stock was taken of the past activities between the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) and Swiss Volley. Mr. Schnegg took the opportunity to present the Swiss national federation’s work on Beach Volleyball, explaining the Swiss license system and announcing the new Swiss Beach Volleyball pairings which are Sascha Heyer/Paul Laciga and Markus Egger/Martin Laciga. Finally, the calendar for 2005 was discussed with both parties supporting the harmonisation of work as well as an improved cooperation between them.
