OFFICIAL PRESENTATION AND DRAWING OF LOTS
INDESIT European Champions League 2004/05
Luxembourg, August 12, 2004. Following the tremendous success of the previous INDESIT European Champions League, all European top teams are currently preparing for another exciting battle in the world’s strongest club competition. Twenty men’s and twelve women’s clubs will be starting the campaign in November to find the successors of Lokomotiv BELGOROD (RUS) and TENERIFE Marichal (ESP).
The Drawing of Lots and the Official Presentation of the INDESIT
European Champions’ League will be held in the Town Hall of
Vienna, Austria, on Thursday 2 September 2004 from 20.00 CET,
rounded up by a Volleyball Gala. Both events are organised by the
European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) in cooperation with the Austrian
Volleyball Federation and several sponsors who were also responsible for
the successful running of last year’s spectacular presentation of the
world’s strongest club competition.
The best 20 men’s and 12
women’s club teams in Europe will participate in the 2004/2005 edition
of the INDESIT European Champions League. Starting the first round
matches at the beginning of November 2004, ten League Rounds will be
played before the Play-Offs in February 2005 decide the Final Four which
will be held on 19-20 March 2005 for the women and 26-27 March 2005 for
the men.
