HOLSTEN OFFICIAL BEER SUPPLIER AT TIMMENDORFER STRAND
European Championship Final 2004
Luxembourg, May 27, 2004. "Here's to friendship!" Anyone hearing this
slogan in Germany knows who is making a toast: Holsten Pilsener beer.
The brewery from Hamburg and Beach Volleyball could very well become a
friendship known for excellence far beyond the German borders.
After all, digging in the sand makes you very thirsty, so why not quench
that thirst after a good day’s work with a chilled beer?
The partnership between the Beach Volleyball European Championship Final and
Holsten seems to be a promising liaison. Two weeks prior to the start of
the continental summit, Holsten has been presented as the Official Beer
and Event Supplier. The brewery will provide substantial support to the
highlight of the European season in the health resort on the Baltic Sea.
"The Beach Volleyball target group is extremely attractive for the Holsten
Pilsener brand and its entire product assortment", says Gene Birke,
Sales Director Events and Restaurants of the Hamburg brand. "In
addition, we are looking forward to quenching the thirst of the expected
50.000 spectators at the European Championship Final, during the
competition as well as during the event and entertainment programme."
Indeed, the brewery will stage a versatile activity field at Timmendorfer
Strand including the opening ceremony, the reception of Timmendorfer
Strand’s municipality, the boat trip as part of the extensive VIP
programme (which can be reserved on the Official Tour Website at
www.eurobeachtour.com), the Players’ Night Party (Saturday, July 12 at 8
p.m. on Centre Court) and numerous other happenings during the four day
tournament - Holsten's barley drink will be provided at all occasions.
Furthermore, Holsten Pilsener will be represented on advertising boards
on Centre Court.
