Albanian Federation pleased with record-breaking numbers for third Amateur League

Tirana, Albania, December 8, 2017. The third edition of the Amateur League, which is due to start next week, will be another major success for the Albanian Volleyball Federation (FSHV). A record 20 teams have registered for participation, thus confirming the status of Volleyball as a very popular sport across the whole of Albania. The number of the participating teams has grown with every edition, with as many as 250 players registered for the next championship (33% are women).

“We are very pleased with the interest and appreciation shown towards this championship and the passion you show for Volleyball. The FSHV would like to use this opportunity to thank all teams and players for their readiness to participate in this third edition of the Amateur League, which helps us in our efforts to spread Volleyball everywhere thanks to your passion and love for the sport. These figures show that we know how to serve one another, to play and entertain,” said the President of the Albanian Volleyball Federation, Mr Erlind Pellumbi, during the draw.

The third edition of the Amateur League will start next week and it will end in May, with as many as 190 matches on schedule, including the playoff stage.
