Obituary – CEV Supervisor Bruno Lubatti (64)
News from the CEV
Luxembourg, April 6, 2017. It is with profound regret and sorrow that we inform you of the death or our good friend and CEV Supervisor Bruno Lubatti. The 64-year-old Italian suddenly passed away on Wednesday following a heart attack he suffered at Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport on his way back from a CEV Volleyball Champions League match he had supervised in Kazan the night before.
Known for his gentle and professional demeanour, Mr Lubatti was truly passionate about Volleyball and a real personality in his hometown Cuneo while being highly esteemed by all members of the Italian and European Volleyball community.
A former member of the Board of Administration of the Italian Volleyball Federation, Mr Lubatti was a long-time CEV Supervisor. He passed away while returning back home after officiating at a Volleyball match he was truly honoured to attend. We can truly say that his life came to a premature end while he was doing what he loved the most.
The CEV pays tribute to Bruno Lubatti’s devoted service to the Volleyball family and asks all members to remember him with affection while sending out sincere condolences to his family and friends.
