100 days to men’s European League Final Four
2017 CEV Volleyball European League - Men

Copenhagen, Denmark, March 22, 2017. The Final Four of the 2017 CEV Volleyball European League – Men is approaching rapidly. It is only 100 days to go to the major event, which will be taking place in Denmark on July 1-2, 2017.

In conjunction with this milestone, the CEV and Volleyball Denmark have unveiled the official logo, while confirming the venue and dates for the tournament.

“It is a huge pleasure to welcome all Volleyball fans in Gentofte Sports Park for an international final round on July 1 and 2,” says Mikael Trolle, CEO of Volleyball Denmark.

The European League Final Four in Denmark will be the next chapter in large Volleyball events on Danish soil, as Denmark hosted the 2013 CEV VELUX Volleyball European Championship – Men together with Poland.

“We are building the right organisation to give both the Danish and international Volleyball fans another great Volleyball experience in Denmark,” Trolle adds.

“Gentofte Sports Park will be the venue for the Final Four of the men’s European League. It was a great setting when GENTOFTE Volley played their historic Champions League matches there in late 2016. It is my hope, that we again can attract many fans to a top level European competition,” Trolle continued.

CEV President Aleksandar Boričić commented: “Since they hosted a highly successful European Championship in 2013, our friends at the Danish Volleyball Federation have continued to work hard to raise the profile of Volleyball in their country and the organisation of this year’s European League Final Four will add another milestone to this positive development and trend. Denmark are known for hosting a number of major sporting events every year and I am confident that the European League Finals will cement this status, while inspiring young people to follow our sport more closely and hopefully take up the game in future.”

The group stage of this year’s European League begins in June with participation of eight national teams divided into two pools of four each.
