Inaugural Balkan Kids Volleyball Festival a major success

Istanbul, Turkey, May 24, 2014. The first edition of the Balkan Kids Volleyball Festival came to an end on Saturday and each one of the participants received a gold medal at the end of the day. Kids from Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, F.Y.R. of Macedonia, Greece, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, and Turkey played Volleyball all day long in Istanbul, thereby making friends and experiencing something they will not forget for the rest of their lives. The event co-hosted by the Balkan Volleyball Association (BVA) and the Turkish Volleyball Federation was held in a very friendly and joyous atmosphere, thereby turning into reality the slogan of the festival, “Volleyball won.”
The festival started with a minute of silence observed to pay tribute to the victims of the mining disaster in Soma, Turkey and of the major floods that recently hit Serbia and Bosnia & Herzegovina.
The medals to all participants were presented by the President of the Turkish Volleyball Federation, Özkan Mutlugil, by Mr. Milutin Popovic, President of the Volleyball Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, by the President of the BVA Marketing Commission Zoran Avramovic as well as by the Corporate Communication and Marketing Director of Vialand, Özlem Ersoylu Mutlür.
To stress his appreciation and help in setting up this initiative, Mr. Mutlugil presented his colleagues with special commemorative plaques.
After the closing ceremony, the kids could have some extra fun at the Vialand amusement park to round out an unforgettable day.
