Romanian boys reign supreme at Balkan Youth Champs

Odžak, Bosnia and Herzegovina, August 10, 2013. On Saturday Romania’s boys completed a clean sweep of their matches at the Balkan Youth Championship routing their neighbors of Bulgaria in straight sets (25-19, 25-12, and 25-19) to win gold.
Romania finished the competition with an impeccable record losing only four sets in five matches on their way to first place. Turkey settled for silver after beating Montenegro in straight sets (25-18, 25-15, and 25-12) on the last day of action in Odžak, a town located in the northern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Turkey completed their run in the tournament with four wins losing only to gold-medal winners Romania. Though they lost in straight sets to Romania, Bulgaria still finished third with a 3:2 win/loss record, ahead of Serbia that on the last day beat hosts Bosnia and Herzegovina in three sets (26-24, 25-21, and 25-18).
