Serbia, Brazil and USA only countries with all national teams among the top 10 in FIVB World Rankings
News from the National Federations
Beograd, Serbia, July 23, 2013. Serbia, Brazil and the USA are the only national federations having all of their national teams ranked among the first 10 in the FIVB World Rankings. That includes senior men and women, junior men and women, and youth boys and girls.
To celebrate this outstanding result a special recognition was given at the FIVB Congress held last year in Anaheim, California, to Serbia, Brazil and the USA. Serbia’s junior men and youth boys are ranked second in the world, while the junior women and youth girls (pictured) are seventh; the men’s and women’s senior national teams are ranked seventh and ninth respectively.
By focusing on four of the six world rankings, Russia and Italy make the top 10 in three categories, followed by Poland, Cuba, Argentina, Germany, Japan, China, Turkey and the Dominican Republic that are all represented twice while Bulgaria, Spain, Iran, France and Peru have got one team each in the top 10.
