2013 CEV Volleyball European Championship - Women

Frankfurt, Germany, May 10, 2013. Thousands of Volleyball fans can barely wait for the start of the 2013 CEV Volleyball European Championship – Women scheduled for this coming September 6-14 and co-hosted by Germany and Switzerland. With only four months left before the start of the competition, the organizers are regularly feeding all fans with their newsletters whose third issue just came out with plenty of captivating info.
The 12 pages of the PDF file that you can easily download at the bottom of this news are devoted to Dresden – one of the venues for the prelims – and its state-of-the-art sports hall, the EnergieVerbund Arena, and to the four teams that are set to play there, namely 2006 and 2010 world champions Russia, Azerbaijan, Croatia and the winner of the third-round fixture starring Belarus and Slovakia coming up in about three weeks. The newsletter includes other info about the participating teams and the latest updates from the world’s Volleyball arena as well as detailed instructions about the accreditation procedure for all media – including TVs – interested in attending this absolute highlight of the international sports calendar. To round it out, an interview with Jonas Reckermann – the very first European able to claim Olympic gold in Beach Volleyball together with partner Julius Brink at London 2012 – is available as well. Make sure you get the latest updates and visit also the official website of the Championship at www.eurovolley2013.org

Picture: Though they have missed out on a European medal since 2007, Russia – whose campaign is set to start in Dresden – will be one of the major contenders for the top spots at the 2013 CEV Volleyball European Championship – Women
