Join The Beach/Aalsmeer and donate used beach volleyballs to African kids!
News from the National Federations
Aalsmeer, Netherlands, May 2, 2013. The Beach, the indoor sports and event centre that in 2011 played host to the very first indoor Satellite tournament in history, did recently donate used beach volleyballs to underprivileged children living in the town of Ziway, central Ethiopia. The balls were distributed to two schools – Kutir Kera Primary School and another local primary school – attended by boys and girls aged from 6 to 16.
The young pupils and teens will enjoy the possibility to play Beach Volleyball during the breaks from their classes and this will evidently help the local youth get involved into the sport by learning its ABC.
The Beach invites anyone who is interested in donating used beach volleyballs to join this action by first dropping an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org and eventually sending their bag to Aalsmeer. After completing their collection, the balls will find their way to a destination where they will be making some more children happy and help them discover the unique spirit of Beach Volleyball.
