CEV hosts management seminar to improve on cooperation with national federations
News from the CEV
Luxembourg, April 29, 2013. Apart from the celebrations for its fortieth anniversary, the CEV has scheduled for this coming weekend also a management seminar which is due to be attended by the General Secretaries of 35 of its affiliated national federations. This initiative – which takes place with the valuable support provided by Swiss-based consulting company TSE – aims at improving the quality of the daily work performed by the national federations and at stimulating their creativity and willingness to search for innovative management solutions.
Via this seminar CEV clearly testifies the intention and ambition to support its members and affiliates by providing first-class education as well as with an opportunity to get together and discuss issues that the Volleyball family is being confronted by on a regular basis. The seminar will follow up on the results of a survey carried out in the past weeks and whereby the lecturers got a general overview of the managerial structure of the national federations as well as of the challenges they are expected to take up as they work for the promotion and growth of the sport.
“Volleyball is essentially a team sport and this seminar was conceived with that same frame of mind. As we all work for the same goal, we need to join our forces, but before embarking on any action, we shall first take a moment to come together, discuss and share ideas” CEV President André Meyer (pictured) says.
The management seminar will start on Friday afternoon, May 3, with a common session to be attended also by the NF Presidents and will continue through Saturday, May 4, all day long before the participants will join the special gala taking place at Neumünster Abbey to celebrate all together the 40 years since the establishment of the European Volleyball Confederation.
