Belgrade, Serbia, March 27, 2013. On Wednesday morning, Fred Kröger, President of the Special Refereeing Commission at the 2013 CEV Youth Volleyball European Championship – Girls, his colleagues from SRC as well as the fifteen international referees gathered in Belgrade’s hotel M for important organizational and technical exchange.
Some hours before leaving to Bar (Pool I) respective to Kladovo (Pool II), the fifteen international referees were informed about the most important refereeing items for the 2013 CEV Youth Volleyball European Championship – Girls. Additionally, Fred Kröger and his colleagues gave the audience motivating inputs about leadership and personality.
Jury President and CEV Vice President Jan Hronek presented the referees compliments from CEV President André Meyer and reminded them of the importance of their duty at the 2013 CEV Youth Volleyball European Championship – Girls. “It is an enormous responsibility to whistle at such a significant competition. For the coaches, players and teams it’s the most important event of the season. I’m sure you are going to do your very best. I’d like to thank you for your excellence and responsibility.”
The Championship set to run through March 29-April 7 will be the tenth edition since the premiere in 1995. Host of Pool I – including Montenegro, Slovenia, Poland, Italy, Greece and the Czech Republic – is the Montenegrin city of Bar. Pool II featuring Serbia, Turkey, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Russia will be played in the Serbian city of Kladovo.
The matches of preliminary Pool I as well as all semi-final and final matches will be available live and for free at www.laola1.tv. On the other hand, all matches of Pool II will be streamed on the official website of the Volleyball Federation of Serbia and namely under the following URL: http://eng.ossrb.org.
