Jury meeting opens official part of the Youth European Champs
2013 CEV Youth Volleyball European Championship - Girls

Belgrade, Serbia, March 27, 2013. On Tuesday evening, CEV officials and representatives of the Organizing Committee met in Belgrade’s Hotel M to finalize the official management of the 2013 CEV Youth Volleyball European Championship – Girls, held in co-organization by the Serbian and Montenegrin Volleyball Federation.

Jury President and CEV Vice President Jan Hronek as well as Aleksandar Boricic, CEV Senior Vice President and President of the Serbian Volleyball Federation, welcomed the CEV officials from all over Europe for the much-awaited 2013 CEV Youth Volleyball European Championship – Girls. The Championship set to run through March 29-April 7 will be the tenth edition since the premiere in 1995 and will determine the six teams representing Europe at this year’s FIVB Girls' Youth World Championship coming up later this summer in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, as well as the eight nations taking part at the European Youth Olympic Festival in Utrecht (NED).

“I’d like to thank the CEV for entrusting Serbia and Montenegro with the organization of that prestigious volleyball event”, said Aleksandar Boricic. “For us, the 2013 CEV Youth Volleyball European Championship – Girls is an important investment in the future. It is always a good thing to invest in the right things, but most of all it is necessary to invest in young people, because they represent our next generation.”

Host of Pool I – including Montenegro, Slovenia, Poland, Italy, Greece and the Czech Republic – is the Montenegrin city of Bar. Bar is a coastal town in the west of Montenegro. It has a population of 17,727 (2011 census) inhabitants. Bar is the center of Bar Municipality and a major seaport of Montenegro. Pool II featuring Serbia, Turkey, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Russia will be played in the Serbian city of Kladovo. Kladovo is a town and municipality in the Bor District of eastern Serbia. It is situated on the right bank of the Danube River. The population of Kladovo counts 8,913 inhabitants while the population of the Kladovo municipality with surrounding settlements has a population of 20,635 (2011 census) inhabitants.

The matches of preliminary Pool I as well as all semi-final and final matches will be available live and for free at On the other hand, all matches of Pool II will be streamed on the official website of the Volleyball Federation of Serbia and namely under the following URL:
