DABROWA GORNICZA to be partly owned by local community, City Council decides
News from the clubs
Dabrowa Gornicza, Poland, March 14, 2013. The City Council of Dabrowa Gornicza recently endorsed a provision whereby 200 shares of the club that recently claimed the national cup for the second consecutive season will be bought by the local community.
This was agreed almost unanimously by all members of the City Council with only two backing away from this initiative.
„Our city supports the club and I think this is a very wise decision as Tauron MKS will be advertised and promoted also across the local territory” says a local citizen and supporter.
The value of each share stands at about 40 €. „My intention, since I first got involved in this sport, was to gradually build up a strong and competitive team” club president Robert Kocma stresses. „This dream is gradually coming true and this decision contributes to a long-lasting project and legacy for our team. In this way we will also be able to ease up our negotiations with potential sponsors” he concludes.
