Warsaw, Poland, February 25, 2013. The Women’s Sports Commission of Poland’s Olympic Committee recently awarded the best female coaches of the year 2012; Violetta Bakos was among those who were awarded by the NOC after the stellar results claimed by her duos throughout the 2012 Beach Volleyball season.
Bakos is one of the four winners selected by the Olympic Committee who will be officially awarded this coming March 5 via a special gala to be held in the premises of the Olympic Centre in Warsaw.
Two players mentored by Bakos, i.e. Katarzyna Kociolek and Jagoda Gruszczynska, finished twice atop of the charts this past summer as they outclassed all of their competitors at the U18 as well as at the U20 European Championships held in Brno and Hartberg respectively.
Kociolek teamed up with Karolina Baran to claim silver also at the 2012 U19 FIVB World Championship in Larnaca, Cyprus. The “magic” summer for Poland’s Beach Volleyball pairs was completed by Kinga Kolosinska and Daria Paszek who settled for fourth place at the U23 CEV European Championship in Assen (NED).
