Organizers brief about state of the art while waiting for DOL
2013 CEV Volleyball European Championship - Women
Zurich, Switzerland, October 5, 2012. The third VONOC (Volleyball National Organizing Committee) meeting for the 2013 CEV Volleyball European Championship – Women was held today in Zurich with only a few hours to go for the DOL coming up on Saturday morning. The meeting was chaired by CEV Vice President and Jury President Jan Hronek and attended also by DVV President Thomas Krohne and the General Secretary of Swiss Volley, Werner Augsburger.
Next to representatives of the German and Swiss Volleyball Federations, delegates from the five hosting cities (Berlin, Dresden, Schwerin, Halle/Westphalen and Zurich) were in attendance to check the state of the preparations for the event coming up next September. Items about accommodation and transport, anti-doping, ticketing and marketing, as well as TV were carefully discussed with the organizers providing an update about all pending issues.
“I am very satisfied with the current state of the preparations and I wish all participants good luck for the Drawing of Lots” said CEV Vice President Jan Hronek.
