Composition of women's Main Draw determined in Vaduz
CEV Beach Volleyball Challenger & Satellites
Vaduz, Liechtenstein, August 8, 2012. Great weather conditions accompanied the first day of action for the CEV Satellite in Vaduz that celebrates this year its eighth edition.
The competition started on Wednesday morning with the women’s Country Quota as three teams from Germany, four from Austria and five representing Switzerland had to fight to make it to the Qualification Round.
In the afternoon the women’s qualifier followed with no real surprises, with Norway’s Janne Kongshavn/Ane Guro Hjortland, as well as Geeske Banck/Kira Walkenhorst and Teresa Mersmann/Cinja Tillmann of Germany, Michaela Vorlova/Karolina Rehackova and Eliska Galova/Tereza Vankova of the Czech Republic, plus Laura Bloem/Danielle Remmers (NED), Simona Fabjan/Andreja Vodeb (Slovenia) and Muriel Graessli/Joana Heidrich of Switzerland all finding their way to the Main Draw.
The men’s tournament also started on Wednesday with the Country Quotas for duos representing Austria, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. The Qualification Round is set to commence on Thursday in the centre court.
The home heroines Petra Schifferle-Walser and Ramona Kaiser will debut on Thursday at 12:30 playing Galova/Vankova of the Czech Republic.
