Maaseik hosts Bulgaria's national team for last stage of Olympic preparations
News from the clubs

Maaseik, Belgium, July 18, 2012. Belgium’s national champion Noliko MAASEIK is playing host to Bulgaria men’s national team as the group around head coach Nayden Naydenov is just finalizing its preparations for the upcoming 2012 London Olympics. The guests from Sofia are very impressed with the facilities available in the splendid “Lotto Dôme”, a venue they got to know via Vital Heynen, the former head coach of Noliko MAASEIK and current mentor of Germany’s national team.
“It is just perfect and superb: these are the only words that may describe the conditions that we are currently enjoying here in Maaseik” says team manager and former national team player Lubomir Ganev. “This is a magnificent arena with all facilities that are required for top Volleyball; there is also a fitness centre just nearby where we can have some dry-land training and workouts, while the wellness centre and swimming pool of the Aqua Dôme are the perfect place for our players to relax and clean up their minds” he stresses. “We are being accommodated at Maaskant hotel that is located at walking distance from the arena, so we cannot ask for more. I hope this week will pave the way for an outstanding performance there at the Olympics” he concludes.
Team Bulgaria will leave Maaseik on Friday and fly directly to London where their opening match in the Olympic tournament is scheduled for July 29 against the hosts of Great Britain.
