Beach Volleyball festival attracts massive crowd in Saint Petersburg

Saint Petersburg, Russia, July 10, 2012. The annual Beach Volleyball Festival promoted by the regional Volleyball Federation of North-Western Russia was held this past July 6-8 on the shores of the Gulf of Finland with 485 participating teams thereby representing 15 different regions. A total of 28 Beach Volleyball courts were set up in such a magnificent location to host the matches of the three-day long event.
The tournament was open to all groups, hence involving children and veterans, professional Volleyball players and amateurs, families, VIPs, media representatives, Paralympic athletes.Gifts and giveaways were distributed by the sponsors of the event, including t-shirts, balls, tea collections, writing sets and much more. The pros who joined their ad-hoc tournament battled it out also for 10’000 $ prize money.
