Varna Masters launched via special PR action in Sofia
2012 CEV Beach Volleyball European Championship - Varna Masters

Sofia, Bulgaria, June 19, 2012. The Varna Masters scheduled for this coming August 22-26, the fourth and next-to-last stop of the 2012 CEV Beach Volleyball European Championship, was officially presented on Tuesday in Sofia with a special PR-action prepared by the local promoter.
The façade of the “St. Kliment Ohridski” University in Bulgaria’s capital city challenged some of the best Bulgarian climbers whose performance was used to showcase the history of the M-Tel Beach Masters since the tournament was established back in 2007 (see picture). The group included Tihomir Dimitrov, Bulgaria’s national champion in ice climbing – who finished third in this year’s World Cup – and Anton Hidjov, the mentor of the national expedition that climbed up to the top of Mount Everest in 2004.

The tournament in Varna – traditionally a Challenger event – moved up to the status of Masters for the 2012 edition and hence the most suitable location for its launch was quite evidently Bulgaria’s most prestigious academic institution, where students are busy for six years before they finally graduate with a master’s degree.
The national tour sponsored by M-Tel will start mid July in Sofia and will be joined by all the best Bulgarian duos.
