10 National Federations have entered the 2014 CEV Volleyball European League - Men.
The Final Four organiser is yet to be confirmed by the CEV but it will
take place between the 19th and 20th July 2014. The organiser will be
qualified to the Final Four.
The 10 participating National Federations were
split into two Pools using the serpentine system, according to the CEV
European Ranking (as at 18-10-2014).
POOL A: POL, GRE, MNE, ROU, AZE
POOL B: TUR, SLO, AUT, DEN, MKD
Both of these pools will play a single round robin (2 matches at Home and 2 matches Away), playing two matches in each Leg.
Teams will qualify to the Final Round as per Chapter 1, Article 1.5.2 in the Official Regulations:
1st placed team of each pool and the best 2nd placed team with the best
score will qualify for the Final Round, with the organiser.
If the organiser is the 1st place team in its pool, the other 1st
placed team and the two 2nd placed teams will qualify. If the organiser
is the 2nd placed team in its pool, both 1st placed teams and the 2nd
placed team from the other pool qualifies."
Final Round - Final Four
4 teams will compete at the Final Four for the title of European League Champion.
A Drawing of Lots will decide the composition of the semi-final matches.
winners of the 2014 European League are automatically granted a spot in
the next edition of the FIVB World League (Men) or FIVB World Grand
Prix (Women), directly replacing the lowest placed European team
(assuming that the qualifying team can fulfil all of the requirements
set out by the FIVB).
