Croatia rely on home-court advantage in upcoming U21 World Champs qualifier
2017 FIVB U21 Men Volleyball World Championship - European Qualification

Kastel Stari, Croatia, January 5, 2017. Croatia will be hosting this weekend a first-round qualifier to the 2017 FIVB Men’s U21 Volleyball World Championship with the competition taking place at Gradska Dvorana, the local sports hall in Kastel Stari where the hosts will be playing the national teams of Belgium, Turkey and Latvia.

Croatia will first play Belgium on Friday before Turkey take on Latvia; on the second competition day hosts Croatia will measure themselves up with Latvia before they play Turkey – on paper the strongest team in the tournament – on Sunday for the third and final round of matches.

Kastel Stari is a real Volleyball city and as a result the young players from Croatia are expected to be cheered on by many fans in an attempt to boost the home team’s chances of progressing to the second stage of the qualification process to this year’s World Championship.

All matches will start at 17:00 and 19:30 local time.
