Lokomotiv BAKU still confident ahead of re-match with MUSZYNA
2014 CEV Volleyball Cup - Women
Baku, Azerbaijan, January 23, 2014. After their compatriots of Azerrail lost also their second game with Russia’s Uralochka-NTMK EKATERINBURG, Lokomotiv BAKU is the sole representative from Azerbaijan still in contention for a spot in the Challenge Round of the 2014 CEV Volleyball Cup – Women. As they host Poland’s Polski Cukier Fakro MUSZYNA on Thursday, Lokomotiv will have to play their best to compensate for the 0:3 defeat they suffered last week.
“It is going to be a very tough game but even though we respect our opponents, we want to show our quality, win this game as well as the golden set that would follow to progress to the Challenge Round” says the Argentinean-born head coach of Lokomotiv, Claudio Cuello. The winners of this clash will then play Azeryol BAKU in the Challenge Round which is set to take place in early February.
The players and the management of Lokomotiv invite as many fans as possible to come to the A.Y.S. sports hall and cheer on the local heroines as they vie for a much desired home victory to continue their European campaign.
