The hosts did not show enough quality to stand Poland’s champions even though the atmosphere was great with 1,800 fans in attendance. The hosts had almost seized the second set but in the end they could not exploit their chance to tie the score. After that Resovia imposed their pace once again and easily wrapped it up in straight sets for their third victory in the competition. “We had a few chances and you could see that our opponents were feeling the pressure” said after the game Jihostroj head coach Jan Svoboda. “Resovia has got great players and they controlled the final section of each set. Especially their setter Fabian Drzyzga played a great match tonight. We weren’t able to read his play and our block did not work as it should have.”
