Rookie Galatasaray vies for first victory
2014 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League - Men
Istanbul, Turkey, December 2, 2013. After losing their away match in Germany, Turkey’s rookie Galatasaray FXTCR ISTANBUL will play once more VfB FRIEDRICHSHAFEN hoping to finally take their first points in preliminary Pool G of the 2014 CEV DenizBank Volleyball Champions League – Men. VfB is currently ranked third in the Pool with four points as the charts are topped by Belgium’s Knack ROESELARE with nine and Zaksa KEDZIERZYN-KOZLE of Poland follows in second place with five.
Galatasaray and VfB will be trying to claim that game so as to keep alive their chances to make the Playoffs 12 or at least the Challenge Round of the CEV Volleyball Cup. “We are of course not happy with the results we have achieved so far” says Galatasaray mentor Ahmet Resat Arig. “However, this does not mean that we are going to give up. Actually we are very proud of being part of this competition and we continue to work hard to be able to display world-class Volleyball.”
