Vakifbank takes on archrival Eczacibasi to make it to final four
2013 CEV Volleyball Champions League - Women

Istanbul, Turkey, February 5, 2013. After edging Atom Trefl SOPOT in the Playoffs 12, Turkey’s Vakifbank ISTANBUL is only one step away from making it to the final four of the 2013 CEV Volleyball Champions League but still the double fixture with their compatriots of Eczacibasi VitrA ISTANBUL won’t be an easy task for the players mentored by Giovanni Guidetti. The first round of this much awaited derby is scheduled for this Thursday at 7 pm local time and will set the tone for the return match coming up next week once more at “Burhan Felek” Volleyball Hall.
“My team is ready and fit” says Guidetti. “Eczacibasi is a strong opponent with many talented players and I assume both matches will be tough and tight because these sides are similar and have got the same style of playing. I am sure this clash will contribute a terrific Volleyball show and I do hope the sports hall will be filled up to full capacity”.  
“We are about to play Eczacibasi in the Playoffs 6. They have many great and experienced players in their roster and I think these matches will be simply stellar, because both teams will be playing their best” adds team captain Gözde Sonsirma Kirdar. “For this reason I do hope many supporters will be there to cheer on us on Thursday”.
