Vakifbank targets fifth win to prolong impressive streak
2013 CEV Volleyball Champions League - Women

Istanbul, Turkey, December 3, 2012. Being one of only two teams with an immaculate record in the prelims of the 2013 CEV Volleyball Champions League – Women, Turkey’s Vakifbank ISTANBUL will try to prolong its winning streak while hosting this coming Wednesday Russia’s Uralochka-NTMK EKATERINBURG for the fifth round of action in Pool A.
“We have already qualified to the Playoffs 12 but we want to stretch our positive streak” says head coach Giovanni Guidetti. “They caused us quite many problems as we crossed our ways in Russia and therefore the upcoming game won’t be easy at all. Nevertheless I think that we can score one more win and will surely count on the support of our fans”.
“The Russian team is physically very imposing and also very experienced” adds team captain Gözde Sonsirma Kirdar. “We are working out the right tactics to be well prepared for this game. I also hope that many supporters will join us for another memorable Volleyball night”.
