Crvena Zvezda with tough debut against Lokomotiv BAKU
2013 CEV Volleyball Champions League - Women
Beograd, Serbia, October 22, 2012. Crvena Zvezda BEOGRAD organized on Monday a press conference one day before their debut in the 2013 CEV Volleyball Champions League against Lokomotiv BAKU of Azerbaijan. The media were addressed by middle blocker Mina Popovic as well as by head coach Ratko Pavlicevic.
“This group is ready to play with glowing hearts but we also have got our skills to show. We wish to leave a very good impression at the end of this competition and as for Lokomotiv, I can only say that this is a very solid team composed by excellent players” said Pavlicevic who stressed also the importance of playing before the home fans.
Mina Popovic, a young but talented middle blocker, singled out: “The CEV Volleyball Champions League is the most elitist competition out there and we will try to play our best. We also need the support of our fans. They shall come to the hall also because they have the opportunity to watch Lokomotiv in action, a club with excellent players, so this is definitely a match to enjoy. We do not have that much experience at this level but I think that being here is also paying us back for all our efforts up to now”.
