Knack ROESELARE to host Hypo Tirol INNSBRUCK for first home match
2013 CEV Volleyball Champions League – Men

Roeselare, Belgium, October 28, 2012. The players of Belgium’s Knack ROESELARE returned home from the first match of their European campaign with Zenit KAZAN after a 0:3 defeat but still with some confidence for their next stops. As it was predicted, last year’s winners were too much to stand for Knack ROESELARE, and hence the Belgians will try to claim their first win of the season as they host Hypo Tirol INNSBRUCK on Wednesday.
This is the eleventh appearance of this club in Europe’s most elitist competition after missing the past season and receiving a wild-card to join the 2013 edition. After four matches, Knack is atop of the standings in the national league together with Noliko MAASEIK and last weekend advanced to the 1/4 finals of the national cup. Therefore the hosts are looking forward to welcoming Hypo Tirol that this past week lost 2:3 to VfB FRIEDRICHSHAFEN after leading 2:0 and showing its great potential.
“Taking into account the circumstances we did not perform too badly there in Kazan” says head coach Emile Rousseaux. “I don’t want to recall the absence of players like Paulides, Verhelst and Saade as an excuse but I am sure that more would have been possible if we could have relied on the complete roster. We played with great enthusiasm and dedication but maybe we took too many unnecessary risks in the second set. At the moment we are busy with the video analysis of the game Hypo Tirol played this past week and I certainly see opportunities for my team. It is important to find the right balance. It gives me great pleasure that all players show that I can count on them”.
